Erin Hughes

I have been interested in writing since the third grade but it did not become an interest till the seventh for me. In the seventh I was lucky enough to have two teachers encourage me to pursue my interest in English and writing (Bless Ms. Smith and Ms. Hillegeist). Throughout eighth grade I learned by constantly writing in my off time through writing fanfiction which helped me develop.

The next year I started high school and throughout high school I tried to develop my writing further- though I did not really devote myself till junior year when I took my first creative writing course and my teacher, Mr. Frishman inspired me to pursue creative writing as a degree.

I am currently in my second year of university and hope to pursue degrees (undergrad and grad) that help me build my character depth and other topics and hopefully to one day teach at university myself.

My primary interest is writing however and my goal is to have a novel completed sometime in my junior year.
